  • How to report link quality of a wireless node and show it on screen using proto board

    Hello everyone,
    I have 3 nodes of RF220 and I am using one as briddge. Before, I get a link quality info from the second USB SNAP stick and send it over to my proto board (SN171), I would like to see if I can send just a simple message from my proto board to my computer using the RS232. I am also using YAT (serial terminal that listens on the RS232) on my computer.
    The code I have is as below:

    @setHook(HOOK_STARTUP)
    def startupEvent():
    initUart(1, 9600) # <= put your desired baud rate here!
    flowControl(1, False) # <= set flow control to True or False as needed
    crossConnect(DS_UART1, DS_STDIO)
    print "Hello World"

    I cant see anything printed on my computer. I appreciate if any one can give me some sample codes that can send the link quality to the terminal .
    Thanks

    I have just figured out how to send the print to the terminal. Basically, the
    crossConnect
    and print function has to be done out of the
    startupEvent. The code now looks like this:

    @setHook(HOOK_STARTUP)
    def startupEvent():
    initUart(1, 9600) # <= put your desired baud rate here!
    flowControl(1, False) # <= set flow control to True or False as needed

    @setHook(HOOK_100MS)
    def timer100msEvent(currentMs):
    crossConnect(DS_UART1, DS_STDIO)
    print "Hello World"

    Its fine if the initialization be done in the startup event, but the print is now outside of the startup event.
