Saw in your comments you were wondering if there were other PIR sensors - here's one I bought (but have not tried yet) :

from Sparkfun.com
$10

make sure to read the comments section (click on it) as that is usually where you can find out if something is decent or not.

whoops - just realized I have the ePIR version here :

And thanks for the script - I'm waiting on my EK2100 kit and this script will definitely be one of the first I try.

ePIR a needs a serial port to operate?
The current draw seems high - not suitable for long term battery operation.
The 2.7- 3.7 operating voltage is good.
The amplifier / detector / interface electronics seems very large to integrate with a RF Engine.
Cost is reasonable.

We chose the "miniature" integrated Panasonic digital version for "low power" space saving operation.

The script is extremely simple - on/off. We also included a PIR status LED to indicate motion detection.
I'm waiting on my EK2100 kit and this script will definitely be one of the first I try.

Our script will not work for your ePIR?
