To assist in rapid deployment of snap networks, I would like to see a wall plug-in with integrated Snap radio. This could be used to build a repeater network, or used for radio proximity applications. It should include, power supply, snap radio, possibly external antenna (or two versions, one with internal, one with external), and finally either a proto area, or connector which can be used to add hardware (and make serial port available for firmware upgrades).

To currently get this functionality you would need a USB wall transform (~$10), USB carrier board (~$50) and snap module (w/ desired antenna)

If would be nice if these complete units were available in the $40 range.

Thanks!

We announced our new SNAPstick module at ESC this week. It is a USB stick that contains it's own internal chipset (versus plugging a SNAP module into it).

So now you only need two pieces: the USB wall plug and the new SNAPstick.

(Sorry I don't know the pricing offhand, I work over in the Engineering corner of the building).

Thanks! Just what the doctor ordered... also sounds like a great tool for development.
