As our product development continues, whenever a new version of Portal/Gateway/Snap Connect is released in Beta or Final version we must determine when to migrate to the new version.
We maintain development on a specific version of firmware but someone has to test our software on the new firmware and version of Snap Connect. Since only a single version of Portal can be on a machine that is specific to a firmware version, we use VMware to have multiple virtual machines running different versions of the latest Beta or finalized Portal and the associated Firmware.
It would be nice for developers to be able to have different versions of Portal installed on the same desktop so that we don't have to move between different Virtual machines.
