We discovered that latest SNAPconnect+client does not work on MAC running windows XP, but this is not a problem with Portal 2.2.6 in the same environment.
When client is trying to connect, the callback returned with exception.

While I don't have a copy of XP on my Mac, I did test running SNAPconnect 2.1.31 on Windows Vista 64 and Portal 2.2.23 without any problems.
If you run SNAPconnect from the command line does it print out any more information?

SNAPconnect 2.1.31 on Windows Vista 64 and Portal 2.2.23 without any problems.
Just to clarify, SNAPconnect was running on the Mac which was booted into Windows. A completely different PC was running Portal.

we were testing on the MAC vmware virtual machine running XP.
If I run SNAPconnectConsole app, then our client starts and start SNAPconnect.exe, then everything works.
However SNAPconnect.exe is still showing "Not Connected" in the status, but client is happy and connection was made somehow.

So the Mac is running a copy of windows XP in vmware? It is not using boot camp to boot into windows?
Is the connection via RS-232 or USB?

correct, one of our developers is really found of MAC computer quality and has all microsoft OS installed on his MAC. He runs them in "virtual" mode and developing client in C#.
The bridge connection is USB.
So the console SNAPconnect works there and standard does not.
