Portal 2.2.23 for ZIC2410 and Sniffer

Hi,

I installed portal 2.2.23 but unfortunately it doesn't contain the .H00 & .H01 SNAP images for use with ZIC2410.
(It also removed my existing images so I had to downgrade to 2.2.21 where these files installes).

l also have a question about the .sfi files? Would like to use Sniffer but there is only a .sfi file for this. How could this be loaded onto ZIC2410?

The .H0x files have been replaced in the latest release of Portal (2.2.23) with equivalent .sfi files. This was done to support a new method of upgrading that will not erase previously configured settings such as MAC address, node name, etc… (although the .H0x files probably should have been included for consistency). CEL modules can now be upgraded over a serial port using Portal - the same procedure all other SNAP devices currently use to upgrade firmware. Section 18 of the SNAP Reference Manual has the procedure for upgrading units.

The CEL module can be turned into a sniffer by performing the same operation as the firmware upgrade, just substitute the ‘ZIC2410_SnifferV1.0.0.sfi’ instead. The software to view decoded SNAP packets can be found under the ‘Network’ menu in Portal.

One thing to note: The node will stop functioning as a SNAP node once the sniffer firmware is loaded. It will be dedicated to ‘sniffing’.
