Kevin,
Is that possible to have more then one Bridge/Portal pair per hundred(s) networked Remote RFE units?
Thank you,

Yes, you can have more than one Portal in a network.
You can also have more than one Gateway.
You can also mix and match Portal’s and Gateways.
(The Gateway is essentially the Portal software, minus the GUI, plus an XML-RPC interface, and should not be confused with the “bridge” nodes).
The only requirement is that all of these “masters” must have different network addresses.
Portal defaults to a network address of “\x00\x00\x01”, but you can change this from the Portal command line.
root.setPortalNetAddr(“\x00\x00\x02) # for example
You will have to restart Portal for the change to take effect.
As long as all the master devices have different network addresses, the nodes will be able to tell them apart.
All of the above discussion assumes you wanted everybody on the same channel and network ID.
If you can put your “sub-networks” (each Portal, plus the nodes he is responsible for) on different channels and/or network IDs, then all of the Portal’s could keep their default address.
Note that for the best performance, we recommend you split your networks up by channel, not just network ID.
