Production upgrade option

I would like to have in Portal option for multiple node upgrades of new firmware and script (same).
Currently it is very challenging to select COM#, start firmware update, reset, No for continue, connect to COM# in Portal, find a MAC, select Node info, select script, upload, reset, disconnect COM#, and this is for every node!
Really easy to make mistake...

I agree with your comment/request.

Please note that once you ping all nodes, you can highlight multiple nodes at the same time and then program the same script in them at once. Portal will automatically go from one device to the next. We set up a production board that holds ten modules at a time and have found it to be very handy.

Unfortunately, there are still a substantial areas that need improvement. As example, when doing ten at a time, you've got to be careful to make sure each device gets 'discovered' when they are pinged, otherwise you might just program less than you expected. That's a real tricky thing to watch in production.

Synapse needs to get production programming tools (software/hardware) taken care of for volume production immediately. The tools need to have simplified versions of the portal so it is easy on the factory floor. Using the current portal (a.k.a. Development) software is much too complicated for production.

We have asked for this for over a year (maybe two) without anything other that 'we're working on it'.

In order to be effective in volume production, the tools must evolve to meet production issues. Its time to meet the need.
