We are about to deploy large network of nodes over several square miles and would like to know following:

1) Is this possible to have more then one "Bridge" on the network? There would be a master bridge, pooling nodes status and would be good to have "support" bridge, in only listen mode. The second bridge is for a person to travel around and troubleshoot failed nodes/batteries etc. I think both would have same Network id, so all RPCs status messages would be displayed on both computers. Is this possible to setup second bridge to "listen only" mode?

2) Setting some nodes to be dummy re-transmitters, to cover gaps in the network. What recommended parameters would be for this type of node?

3) What hardware would you recommend for the central bridge antenna power booster? We have an option to raise it on the telescopic mast but currently limited by USB cable length of 16 ft.

Yes, you can have more than one copy of the SNAP Gateway running in the network connected to a different bridge. However, the client application running on the second SNAP Gateway cannot share the same Portal network address as the first client application. There is not a way to put a node into a "listen only" or "promiscuous" mode. That means your second client application will have to do it's own querying of nodes instead of listening in on the conversation of the first client application.

The default parameters of a SNAP node allow them to retransmit multicast packets, as well as help in the mesh network.

I will try and ask one of the hardware engineers for recommendations.
