Here's a project (http://skaterj10.hackhut.com/2011/10/31/build-your-own-rc-tankbot/) (with example code) that uses two RF100 modules to control a tankbot with a home-made controller. We had a fun time making the tank cruise around in the fall leaves with the Synapse based RF link.
