OpenSNAP.org is a web site we created to offer free, open source code for you to learn from, copy, modify and use in your own applications. This growing library has four sections in it: Hardware Interface Technologies, General Software Utilities, LED Lighting and Cable Replacement. We are encouraging you to both download the free routines that you find useful as well as to deposit code for others to use and learn from. We can create new categories as needed.
The source code is based on SNAPpy, our implementation of Python for embedded processors that supports easy wireless communication on numerous micro-controllers and straightforward code development for developing all kinds of applications.
All of the source code is governed by the Eclipse Public License (EPL) (http://www.eclipse.org/legal/epl-v10.html). What this means is you can freely use the source code you have downloaded from the library, copy it, and even modify the code or make further additions or extensions for your own use. If you want to use the code for commercial licensing, you may do so, but you need to be sure you stay within the guidelines of the EPL.
We will be continually adding code to this website and encourage you to add code and use the code that is there to speed up your development efforts. And as always, we welcome your suggestions for further ways we can support the growing community of SNAP users.
