Channel hopping in a sleepy mech [Archive]

Hi,

I am evaluating if snap could be a good choice for my network. I focus on highly secure link and wonder if anybody successfully integrated channel hopping scheme to avoid interferences at 2.4 GHz in a sleepy mesh?

Although SNAP supports changing channels on the fly (see the setChannel() built-in), I am unaware of anyone actually deploying a 802.15.4 SNAP network that does so - All SNAP deployments that I am aware of stay on their originally assigned channel. You also mention doing so on a "sleepy mesh", which would be even trickier.

Still, I am often suprised to learn what others have deployed... The question still stands (has anyone done this?), I just didn't want to not respond at all.
