Another issue I would like to point out is that Portal beta 2.1.8 crashes if the configuration file default.swn is not available. And with a clean install of beta 2.1.8, this file is not created! So the file I have must be a remnant of Portal 2.0. Portal should probably be smart enough to create a new configuration file automatically if one is not there. Or at least the installation should!
Also, while I never used the save/load configuration features in the old Portal, New Configuration was a good way to start from scratch. It would be nice if Portal 2.1 also had a "clean configuration" option, or something along those lines. The equivalent of deleting all registered nodes.
